UPSESSB cancels notification of 15508 recruitment of TGT PGT teachers

Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Services Selection Board, Prayagraj has canceled the notification of 15508 recruitments of TGT PGT teachers. The Secondary Education Services Selection Board has taken this decision after legal opinion. Adopting two criteria for giving ad hoc and fresh candidates in the same written test were found to be wrong. The exclusion of TGT biology also brought legal hurdles. Due to this, it was decided to cancel the recruitment notification.

Let us tell you that in the last week of October, the Secondary Education Services Selection Board, Prayagraj had issued a notification of 15508 vacancies of TGT and PGT teachers. It had 12913 posts of trained graduate teachers (TGT) and 2595 posts of spokesperson (PGT). The last date for application was set to 27 November. For the first time in the recruitment, provision of 10 percent reservation was also made to the candidates of Economically Weaker (EWS) category.

There was a lot of opposition to the inclusion of the subject of biology in recruitment. By excluding the subject of biology, ad hoc teachers of this subject were also being excluded, which was in contempt of the Supreme Court order. The Supreme Court in its order had ordered all ad hoc teachers to apply for the new recruitment.

After considering the problem, it was agreed to include TGT biology in the recruitment and the preparations for new advertisement were expedited. The discussion was also on to extend the date of application for biology candidates.
