You and we have been reading and hearing about Goswami Tulsidas since childhood, he was a great saint and poet, Ram Bhakta Tulsidas (Tulsidas). Goswami Tulsidas, the author of ‘Ramcharitmanas’, is a great poet as well as revered.
Goswami Tulsidas (Tulsidas) was born in Rajapur Village (U.P.) (present Banda District) Uttar Pradesh (Uttar Pradesh). Tulsidas was born on the seventh day of the new moon of Shravan month of 1554. His father’s name was Atma Ram and his mother’s name was Tulsi Devi.

गोस्वामी तुलसीदास: हिन्दी साहितस्य शिरोमणि: कवि: आसीत्। गोस्वामी तुलसीदासस्य जन्म: उतरप्रदेशस्य बाँदा नगरे १५८९ विक्रमी संवत्सरे अभवत्। अस्य पितुः नाम आत्माराम दुबे मातुश्च हुलसी देवी आस्ताम्।
तुलसीदास: हिन्दीसाहित्यस्य महान विभूति: अस्ति। अस्य विरचितं “रामचरितमानस” जगति प्रसिद्धम् अस्ति। अस्य रचनाषु भक्तिभावनाया: सर्वाधिक समावेश: प्राप्यते।
अयं भक्तिकालस्य प्रसिद्धं कवि: आसीत्। गोस्वामी तुलसीदासेण विरचिता: ग्रन्था: सन्ति “रामचरितमानस, गीतावली, जानकी मंगल, पार्वती मंगल, कृष्णगीतावली इत्यादि।
